    Default AeccLand.dbx arx error

    Hi,

We are experencing the following error while using Civil 3D 2008.

When opening a drawing, it gives an unhandled exception error with "Exception in C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008\AeccLand.dbx ARX Command" After closing that error, we receive "FATAL ERROR: Attempt to delete class 'AeccLandAPI' which still has registered descendants.

Any ideas on why this comes up? The program crashes only when a project file is opened. If the program is opened with the default template it doesn't error out?

Did you run a fix on the program yet?

I ran into this when I was trying to run 2 differnt versions of Civil3D on the same computer. We ended up having to take it all off and re-installing just one of the versions.

I've run into it before when a drawing created in LDD was opened in a Civil3D program and all of the files became full of errors.

I don't think I have an answer and some others may be able to tell you better, but that was what we had to do to fix the problem.

Haven't sorted it yet, but think it has something to do with running 2 software packages on the machine.

We are running a bolt on structural modelling software (3Dplus) over the top of Civil 3D (well the AutoCAD version of it). We think this could be the problem, as when we uninstall the software we have no probs with opening drawing files. But as soon as we re-install the software the problem re-occurs.....

We are still trying to find a solution as we require both software packages on this workstation..... strangely the problem never occured when running both packages on Civil 3D 2006?

Does anyone know if there are any patches avalaiable for Civil 3D 2008?
