    Default Central file is inaccessible error message

    Does anyone every get the following error message despite the network being available:

    "Cant obtain permission to edit the elements the central file is inaccessible, you can check out the worksets at risk, but consider carefully!"

    This seems to be happening on some of our machines regularly, but not on others.

    If the Central file hasnt been deleted or moved it looks like a network issue.

    We are upgrading the office in question to RAC2008 SP3. I will see if this makes any difference.

    I have read somewhere on Augi that Revit has problems with RAID5 hard disks (which our server uses) and wonder if this may be the issue.

    Yeah, that's in my best practice documents, seems like STC is an issue with some RAID config and NAS

    It seems ridiculous if Revit has problems with RAID 5 arrays as these are so common place - are support aware of this potential problem (I dont have access to support at the moment)?
