Angry Not able to plot all viewports

My problem is not being able to plot out everything in all my view ports. The only one that will plot is the last view port generated. I can edit objects in these view ports and adjust them as needed but I can't plot them. There must be a setting that manipulates this but I can't find it. I have checked to see if any setting were clicked for hide features. I know it isn't something specific as something wrong with a specific view port, because when I add another that one is the one that is shown.
Another problem that I am having with plot is that I have all of my settings in plot setting to plot everything to plot in black. When I go to plot, the drawing plots in color. I have checked all the settings don't know what else to check.
I am thinking that both of these problems are toggle setting in the program. Both problems are displaying the same in print preview as they are plotting.

    Hi

    1. Floating Viewports - Does this problem occur in only 1 drawing file or all drawing files?

    2. Plot Black & White - ID: TS31447 - Plot all objects black regardless of output device

What version of AutoCAD are you using?

    Hello
Yes we are using floating view ports. It doesn't happen in all files. We are using Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2004. All black setting are being used as far as plotting settings. I appreciate your help.

    Hi

Could you please post one of your "problem" drawing files + the Plot Style Table (CTB or STB) + the Plot Configuration File (PC3) being used to Plot the "problem" drawing file.

What's the setting for MAXACTVP ?
As I recall, the default is 48 but a setting of 1 would give the effect you describe.

    MAXACTVP System Variable

    Type: Integer
    Saved in: Drawing
    Initial value: 64

Sets the maximum number of viewports that can be active at one time in a layout. MAXACTVP has no effect on the number of viewports that are plotted.

    Hi

For more information on the system variable MAXACTVP check out the following Technical Documents on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS69897 - New viewports are blank or colors are incorrect when number of viewports nears value of MAXACTVP

ID: TS42133 - Unable to use plot styles to plot saved views

ID: TS21414 - Geometry in paper space viewports disappears

ID: TS66973 - Unable to apply plot style to multiple viewports

Unhappy Re: Not able to plot all viewports

All my setting are set to a black plot. It is still plotting in color. It is only doing this on my computer. All other computers that I access the same files are to the same setting(apparently). I don't think it is a problem with the file specificly. Thank you. By the way the view port problem was corrected.

I think you really need to confirm this 100% before looking at other possible reasons.

Just out of interest and education (for myself) what was the problem?

The problem with the viewports was just a glitch with the computers. Could you think of an answer for the "plotting in color" problem?
