Default Can you schedule host elements?

A colleague has posed the question: can a door schedule include the type of wall that is hosting each door instance? I've never thought of needing that before, but I suppose it could be helpful in some cases.

Doors are not "host aware". There is currently not a way to connect the door to its hosting wall.

Not just doors but all elements are not host aware.
    The API can do it

Although it's not exactly what you're looking for, you can add the From Room: Wall Finish and To Room: Wall Finish parameters to your door schedule. Set the "Select Available Fields From" to From Room or To Room to see these parameters.
