Overhead door to cut foundation

Hi everyone
I have three subjects on this front elevation
1- How do I make the void on the foundation wall where the garage door meet.
2-I want to create an arched over the garage door, but it's only the exterior finish that will change to be siding with soldier brick on top of it.
3-I also need soldier brick on top of the arched window.

I supposed the slab for the garage door has a slope, you can model this with the slope arrow, this would give you the real finish floor for the garage door. I would make the coursing on top using the "split face" tool, just draw the arch that you want on top of these elements and use the "paint" tool to change the material.

For your door, use the join geometry tool. Select both walls and your door cut through both walls. If this does not work after joining both elements, then nudge your door to the left, and then to the left. Works like a charm!

As for your window, I would do an in-place component. Sometimes I will build this info the family but if it the odd window or so, I will create and in-place family.

An arched soldier course must be done as a blank solid (either in-place or could be made as a family), and then model lines drawn on the face of the solid to make the mortar joint lines. I usually draw a mortar joint at the center, measure over a brick width, draw another line form the arch centerpoint up to the top of the arch, trim as needed, and then radially array the lines down each side of the arch. It's a fairly tedious process, but I have not found a better way yet.

And please, you are going to move that window down before putting a soldier course above it, so it doesn't collide with the soffit/trim, right?

Thanks for carring Patrick. The next step is to insert an extruded arched roof on top of this opening. I tried to do it but it's not giving me the result I want. There is always a little piece of the extrudes roof showing under my soffit. I'll post it later.
