Default Ability to Draw a PLINE Offset from a Given Distance to an Existing Object

Summary: Draw a pline by selecting the starting point based off an offset distance from a given point.

Description: I would like an offset option for the pline command. This would allow for snapping to existing points and creating a new pline offset a given distance from the snap points. AutoCAD Architecture does this with the wall command. Why not have the same feature with pline in AutoCAD?

How Used: There are many times when users want to draw plines offset from existing points in their drawings where they do not have existing lines.

    Feature Affinity: Offset

The Summary says "Draw a pline by selecting the starting point based off an offset distance from a given point." - you can do this with the TK command modifier.

The Description says "would like an offset option for the pline command." - what is wrong with the regular offset command?
