Out of Memory error in LDT

I am not even sure if I am posting in the right place, but every time I open a project in Land Development, I get "Error opening point group database: Out of memory", "Error opening point XDRef database: Out of memory", "Error opening point DescKey database: Out of memory", & "Error opening point database: Out of memory". Can anyone tell me what is going on here? I already increased my virtual memory, I have no other programs running, I have 1GB of Ram, and 53GB of free space. Is it an r14 & XP compatibility issue? I think I have seen this before, and the solution has something to do with setting
windows memory in the system.ini file

I have increased the memory, but still- I get the error message. :/

This is not about having enough memory.
It is about having TOO much memory for
R14 to address, thus you must reduce this value for
R14 to work in the system.ini file.

Oh, boy... this is a little over my head. Thanks for your help. I am just frustrated- I work for a town, so it is impossible to get involved in anything without being interrupted 20 times!

OK- That did not work. Any other suggestions at all? I also did a Windows reapir, then Uninstalled AutoCAD & LDT & Reinstalled them. I do not know what else to do.

Have you tried going to the desktop icon, right-click and select compatibility. then change it to run as if it were running on Windows NT. Make sure to check the box Make this change permanent or it will revert back to XP mode the next time you run it.

I tried to change the compatibility to Windows 95, NT, and 2000, but none of them fixed the problem. I am TOTALLY stumped.

Just a thought, do you have all the Service Packs installed? I think I might still have some of them for LDT1 somewhere.
