Hi all,
Is it possible to pick a plane in a 3D view to draw an object, ie, without having to find out what the level is?

Yes, Click on the Set Workplane, and the pick Pick A Plane. Now you can pick the face of an object and it will make that face the work plane
Thank you, mthurnauer, a year away from Revit & this happens.
...however, can't draw walls in 3d by picking ref plane - is that right?
I guess that must be a yes - which is unfortunate because I was looking at a building model (in 3D) with an architect who noticed some walls missing and asked me to put them in. A these walls were not on any main floor level (between levels) I had to find out which floor level it was nearest to, measure the vertical distance, and then put in the info before I could draw the wall. He laughed. Please tell me I'm ignorant and that I could have done it more efficiently. Thanks.

Hi there!
Planes (Refplane, gridlines, Levels) could be seen in perpendicular views ONLY.
