Cool Start with Named Plot Style Table 's Drawing

    I'm using ACAD 2008 Full

By default, the new drawing will start with Color Based PS (*.ctb)
How to Start a new drawing with Named Base PS (*.stb)
    Anyone know abt this?
    Thanks!

You could go to file, new, then pick the STB template you want. Or you could go to options, under the file tab, template settings, default template file name for QNEW, and change that to the template you want so when you hit "new", it will load the correct template.

You can also try under options Plot and Publish - Plot Style Table Settings give it a Default plot style table. It is also in that window that you can specify CTB or STB for new drawings. I am not sure which one has precedence these settings or the template drawings but just something to check.

Yep, or start with an OOTB .stb template and change it how you want it. I recommend always starting with an OOTB template since they have a lot of display reps and such already built into them.

OOTB stands for "Out Of The Box" = as supplied.
He means, pick any one of the standard templates that is configured to use stb plotting.

To set a plot style table type for new drawings
    1. Click Tools menu ->Options.At the command prompt, enter options.
    2. In the Options dialog box, Plot and Publish tab, click the Plot Style Table Settings button.
    3. In the Plot Style Table Settings dialog box, select Use Color-dependent Plot Styles or Use Named Plot Styles.
    4. (Optional) In the Default Style Table box, select a default plot style table.
    5. (Optional) If Use Named Plot Styles is selected, select plot styles to assign to Layer 0 and to new objects.
    6. Click OK. NoteSetting plot style table types for new drawings does not affect existing drawings.
