    Default Plotting multiple design options

    Hey,

Did a quick search and didn't come across an asnwer. I have multiple design options that I would like to plot out in one sheet set. Whats the best way of doing this.

Currently I have just one sheet that I plot and change primary design option before plotting. I don't like this as then the sheet name and number are the same unless I go and change those over and over and over.

I noticed you can change the visibility of a sheet to show which design option, but that change seemed to have no affect. The only other thing was I could select on the view and do the same be deciding which design option to show without haveing to change the primary. This is great up to where I can't have the same view on multiple sheets. So I stuck to having only one sheet again and then switching the primary option back and forth.

What have you come up with?

By default views will display the <primary> design option. You can override what the view displays from the visibility/graphics dialogue.
Create duplicate views as required (elevations, sections, 3D etc.) and name them for each design option. Access the V/G dialogue box and you should see a Design Option tab. Select that tab and change the visibility setting from <primary> to the preferred design option for each of the duplicate views. You can then drop each view on asheet as required.

    Hello,

Duplicate your view (with detailing), make one view for each design option.

Under Visibility / Graphics (shortcut VG), click on the "Design Options" tab. Then you can set each of the duplicated view to show a different design option.

Place the different views on sheets.

    Good luck!

totally overlooked that possibility. I had it figured out, just didn't put the duplicating view together. It shows you need more than 3 hrs of sleep to function.

    Thanks guys!
