    Question scope boxes in families

can you add a scope box in the family editor?

in the shower_enclosure_564.rfa I can not see fixtures in elevation/section views when i have the hidden line view active.

i have attached the copy of file. if any one can tell me why i can't visibly see the section cuts in hidden line mode i would appreciate it.

Rfa's are cutable or not cutable.
To find out > go to Settings > Object Styles.

Go to Settings > Fam. Cat & Par. > choose Generic and see what happens

holy moly! why on earth would certain kinds of families NOT have the ability to be cut?! i was seriously ready to call the funny farm myself within minutes because a downloaded ships ladder and access weren't cutting as expected!

Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts and need to ask directions to find my way back.

System overhead. It takes a lot more cpu to constantly adjust the cut than to just present an elevation. Furniture is something you typically don't want cut. Mechanical equipmet is another. You really don't want to have to draw in fans and blowers. Other types of objects are better handled symbolically.

I was thinking about that this morning! about HVAC, Toilets, Furniture, etc.... nobody needs to see the guts of those objects.

although, i won't be surprised if i ever find a fully modeled & cuttable toilet fixture in the future....

~sigh~ that's it, i'm hooked. where do i sign up for RA?
