I have created some linetypes with shapes, but when others try to use these they get error message, saying unable to find shape or something like that. Is there someway to get around this?
I am currentely using LDD2005.

Do the others have the same shape (SHX) file?

And it has to be in one of the support file seach path folders.

Hi
Have a browse of the following thread (contains some useful links on Complex Linetypes that use Shape files) -
Custom Linetype
Have a good one, Mike
The others do not have the shape files. I was wondering if lines could be created so they would not have to have the files, the main reason is if we have to send a file out with the custom linetype the person we are sending it to would not have this file either. Any way to get around this? Also I am using LDD 2005, and I don not see the Pack 'n Go in the Express tools anymore, can I get this somewhere? If not, anyone know the commands for this?
Hi
As far as I'm aware "no", the shape file used within a Complex Linetype can not be embedded (as such) into the Linetype file. The two files remain separate and both must be available for the Complex Linetype to display / work correctly.
Have a look at the inbuilt command ._Etransmit, for a little information on this command have a browse of the following threads -
