    Default Archiving

I need a better way to Archive our drawing files.
We have all our current projects on our “P” drive.
I want to move off old project for Archive and put them on “S4”
However when I move the project folder all the xref’s are no longer found.
Who can I move the entire project and still have it open correctly.???

If your xref paths were relative (instead of full or no path) - the move would be seemless.

You can move all the xrefs into the folders with the drawing files which reference them. AutoCAD searches the current folder first, then the xref path.

Alternatively, you can use the reference manager tool, if that's available to you. Start > Programs > "Your AutoCAD program" > Reference Manager. This tool will allow you to repath the xrefs in batches.

You can also bind all the xrefs.
