    Cool DRAWING COMPARISON

Does AUTOCAD 2006 (or any) has any tool that allow the comparison between two drawings?

Nope, not directly in AutoCAD (unless there's an add-on available). I think you can do this with DWF's though through Design Review.

If you're on subscription, you can download the drawing compare extension for free from Autodesk. I don't think they would have one for 2006 though. Time to upgrade!
Why is it called common sense when it is so rare?

And beware of that tool too!

BEFORE they started shipping AutoCAD 2009 they had already changed the Drawing Compare Tool on the Subscription site to the 2009 Version.

So if you had 2008 and needed the 2008 Version you are SOL. And their own Tech Support can't even find the 2008 Version.

See this thread for my last diatribe LOL: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.ph...g+compare+2009

But other than that Subscriptions has been great and is worth the $$.

If you're not on subscription, this thread may help.

The drawing compare for subscription customers is for vertical apps only not vanilla. With that being said try CompareDWG by Furix. www.furix.com. I have used the product and it works pretty good, only compares model space though. But you can easily convert the paperspace objects to model space and run another seperate comparison to compare the data. Hope this helps.
