    Default Quick start with style?

So if I upgrade my new office to C3D, are there any good resource sites with styles ready to download and other 'parts' I could use to ease and aid in this upgrade?

    Thanks much!

It seems to be overlooked a lot of the time, but C3D comes with some stock templates that work great to get you started. I will go out on a limb here and say "starting with anything other than a stock template is a bad idea. Why? Because there are settings and defaults that you will have to find and set yourself if you start with anything other than these templates or one that has these defaults set already. A lot of people mess up when they either use the old office dwt from LDT or plain ACAD or the acad.dwt.

I agree with Christian on this one. Start off with the templates that come with Civil 3D. Once you've been using the software for awhile, then you can think about creating your own template from scratch.

You shouldn't upgrade the entire company at once. Recruit people that:
    1. WANT to learn the program and...
    2. Seem capable of learning and teaching others.

This is mainly so that there are people in the office that can do the work of customization, as well as help the others along. Get those few people training, not everyone will want to take the training. If they want to take it, they'll learn a lot better, and will probably pay attention.
Also remember, you should never make your templates a stagnant document. Standards need to change and grow. Having these people in your company that can help you with this will make the updating part much easier.
