Selection Tree

Is there a way of keeping the Branches open in the Selection tree, I'm adding materials and every time I have to open up all the folders to get to the specific material.
Let's just say its driving me insane, what ever tha's left.

How are you applying the materials? I just tried dragging and dropping a material onto an object in the selection tree and it did not collapse...

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject.
I open Materials / Name / Glass
I drag the material from the presenter on to (in this case glass) the material in the selection tree.
Once I drop it it collapses and I have to open them all up again for every time I drop a material.

Jryberg, your solution is to use Selection Sets.

Open the Selection Sets Box beforehand. After you make your selection in the Selection Tree, and before you apply your materials, right-click in the Selection Sets Box and save your selection. You can name it whatever you'd like.

Now you'll only have to make 1 pick in the future, on your saved selection set, to apply the materials to this group without having to wade into the deep-end of the Selection Tree.
