Ok, could somebody give me a general overview about what Land Desktop companion is and what it does? i haven't loaded companion yet and have mainly been working with Civil 3d 08. I am just wondering what is the jist of Landdesktop companion....

It's Land Desktop with the Civil Design and Survey modules with it. The reason it comes with Civl3D it to help user make the transaction to C3D a little easier. If you been using C3D and are comfortable with it then don't bother loading Companion, MHO.

Thanks for the response. the problem with our office is that most people will not take to civil 3d just because it's a change for them. Heck, one of the techs working here would still like to be on the 2000 version if he had his choice.
