    Question Import/Link AutoCAD to Revit

Since some of you may have found out the E portion of MEP in Revit is missing some important key devices, I am exorting the Revit drawing into AutoCAD to drawing in the devices that are missing in Revit (I'm not creating objects right now cause I am under a big tome crunch). Well, when I import the devices into revit they come in at halftone and printout greyscale. How do get them to come in "fulltone" and print out black?

You may want to check if the option Layer/Level Colors at the Import dialog box. Maybe it is set to Black & White. Another option to check it the visibility/graphics for the view you are importing the CAD file. Check if Imported Categories not checked as Halftone.

also check what pen you have generic annotation set for, under the Annotation Categories tab in the Visibility Graphics dialog box. alot of the default linework (in the plan annotation symbols) are set to generic annotation (so that's what layer they export to in autocad). make sure that's not on half-tone.

I checked and it is not at halftone. I also tried going into the Imported Catergories tab in the visibilty graphics and changed the line weight color and pattern and that didn't do anything.

Imported backgrounds are treated as architectural elements, and you have to set your view discipline to coordination to eliminate the auto-halftone setting. At least this is how it was in 2008. I thought in 2009 they fixed this, but it may just be detail lines that they fixed.
