Angry CRASH, RECOVER, ANNOTATIVE DIM TEXT SIZE

when autocad crashes, then i recover the drawing, all of my annotative dimensions text is the size that it should read in paper space. problem is it is reading this big in model space. has anyone had, or solved this problem? i dont know what to do about it, and when it does this on a 6000 sq. ft. residence's dimension plan, its quite frustrating. if i have any dims with center lines they are lost when i change dim styles back and forth to recover what my original dimensions looked like.

What version of CAD are you running? Is this something that has been happening for a while, or is it new?
