How to delete a family?

Hi, all
It seems a very easy question. But actually it is NOT. When I was trying to delete an unused door family in my file, it always give me an error message like"you can't delete it because it's not editable". So I open the workset and set the family to be "editable". But I still can't do it. I try to "audit" and try to "purge", still doesn't work.The same error message shows up every time. It almost likes a ghost!

Please take a look at the attachment files and let me know if you could save my life.

Are you sure you don't have any instance of this door placed somewhere in the drawing? Right click on the family name and "Select all instances". If it is grayed out, you don't have any instances. But if you can select it, try going to the properties of the door and changing the workset to one that you know you can delete things from. Then try deleting the door from there.

If you still have the message, you can ask to all users relinquish all and save to central (including you). Then after that you can try to delete the family.

Thank you, Andre. I am pretty sure there are not any instance of that door family. I will try to delete it again after everybody gone, as you suggested. I hope it works....Thank you very much for your response.

Try "saving to central" or "reload latest" then try again. Happened to me before and it worked.
