    Default limiting the dwg layers

    Hi ,
We are just starting to implement revit architecture in our firm. I would like to export the revit model so that my co-worker, who run max 2008, can create the renderings. The problems that we are having is that we have too many layers! Is there a way to simplify the layer structure?

Revit maps object categories to layers through File > Import/Export Settings > Export Layers DWG/DXF.
If you modify this file you can change how many layers are created and what maps to which layer.

If you're on Subscription with both products, you might want to look into the 2009 versions.
There is now an export to FBX from Revit2009 that can import directly into Max2009 and retain the materials
Go back to AutoCAD? I'd rather lose my right arm!
