Workspace changes from paperspace to model space

When you change your “workspace” (HVAC, plumbingetc…) sometimes the program changes whether you’re in model space or paper space. I know you go into the CUI menu and change the “start on” line to say “Do not change” but then I hit apply and close and then a couple hours later in a different drawing, it changes back to changing whether you’re in model space or paper space. And then I want to throw my computer through the window.
Is there anyway to make the settings stick? Please help.

I'm not sure why your settings are not sticking. I always change these settings in my workspaces and have never had them change back by themselves. The only exception is if I re-save the workspace from the Workspace tool bar. That always changes the settings back to default then I have to go into the CUI and change them back again.

When you save a workspace from the toolbar, it changes that setting from "Do not change" to the space that is active. So don't have the "automatically save workspace changes" option set. Instead, explicitly save the workspace and then use the CUI editor to change the stupid setting as Jeff mentions. (Yes, it is a stupid "feature".)
