    Default Element Renumber Tool

    Hi All.

    I have just posted to my web site a small API tool that helps with renumbering elements in the Revit Model. No more painfull Duplicate Mark Warning dialouge boxes. It works on:

    1. All elements with Mark Parameters
    2. Viewports
    3. Grids

    Also the tool can renumber and remove all duplicates in a catorgory at once as requested by some users in the MEP forum.

    A demo video can be found at http://www.kiwicodes.co.nz/SamplePages/eleRenumber.aspx

    and a 7 day trial is availiable for download from the downloads page.

    Regards

    Fantastic. We were only just talking about this sort of app.this morning. You have got my money. Any chance of a 2009 version, and also any chance of a sheet counter for 2009.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi Mark.

    Yes that would be easy enough. As you would have noticed in my Demo vid I achieved that by including that in the tag family itself.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the comment Mark.

    Would you also be interested in the 2009 versions. I thought everyone would have transfered over to 2010 by now to take advantage of all the good things in 2010

    If there was enough interest I can create a 2009 version. The element renumber should be relitavely easy. The sheet counter slightly harder.

    Hi Phil
    Yep most interested in 2009 versions for both. Still in transition to 2010 ,using 2009 on major jobs and trying 2010 on smaller jobs. I think you will find still a lot of 2009 users out there wiating for 2011 release before making the jump.

    Talking Re: Element Renumber Tool

    For anyone who may be interested, Element Renumber works perfectly with 2010 in the "Classic" mode with a few extra lines added to the Revit.ini file.

    My thanks to Phillip for his assistance.

    Cheers,

    Try This Mark.

    [ExternalCommands]
    ECCount=2
    ECName1=Category Renumber
    ECClassName1=elementRenumber.CatRenumber
    ECAssembly1=C:\Program Files\Kiwi Codes\Ele Renumber\elementRenumber.dll
    ECDescription1=Renumber Entire Category
    ECName2=Element Renumber
    ECClassName2=elementRenumber.doorRenumber
    ECAssembly2=C:\Program Files\Kiwi Codes\Ele Renumber\elementRenumber.dll
    ECDescription2=Element Renumber

    Element renumber will now be availiable in the tools Pulldown>External Tools.

    Check back on my web site very soon as I'm in the process of uploading Element Renumber for Revit 2009.

    Cheers

    Phillip
