X annd Y co-ordinates in degrees, minutes & seconds

Does anyone know how to both change the settings and enter point co-ordinates in a degrees, minutes and seconds format as opposed to decimal degrees.

I primarily need this infor to grab point inf off of drawings and convert them so that offshore dredging equipment using a d-gps system can utilize them. Unfortunately the d-gps system we are using only shows co-ordinates in a D M & S format.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Aaron (?). Welcome to AUGI.

Type UNITS.
On the right side of the dialogue is a label "Angle". Hit the drop down list and pick "Deg/Min/Sec".

Assuming you mean latitude/longitude. Maybe THIS will get you pointed in the right direction.

You need something like AutoCAD Map to convert Lat Long to another projection system. You also need to know the projection and datum and reference meridian of your current data.

After that you assign a projection to your data and save it; start a blank drawing and assign Lat Long as your projection, and query the data from the first projection in to the Lat Long projection drawing.

I use the DEG <-> DMS function on my pocket calculator to convert decimal degrees to dms.

Publish your drawing to Google Earth and read the Lat/Long there?
