Metal Building System Frame

I created the attached family called 'Metal Building System Frame'; however, I am having difficulties with the 'Frame Span' parameter. The other frame parameters (Ridge Height, Rise, etc.) work well but the 'Frame Span' parameter does not respond well.

Can one of you family masters please take a look at this and advise?
