Normarly the locked layers are still visible
But I received a drawing, the locked layers are not visible, unless unlock them
Anyone know why? Please advice.
Thanks

my idea is "layiso" command. This command from express tool of acad2008/9.
Hi Jack,
What is LAYLOCKFADECTL set to? It’s the system variable that controls how faded locked layers are, and may be set too low.
To expand on what Tim said, there is another way to control the fade too. Hit the flyout on the Layers Panel, and you will see a slider which will control the fading amount. Really hand when you have an office with windows on two sides!
Tim,
Thanks for posting this about LAYLOCKFADECTL. Mine was set to 90 which is almost invisible and I was wondering what the heck happened when I locked a layer! I've been doing this for 22 years and don't remember anything about this variable. Learn something new every day...
