Floor disappears

I have duplicated a view with detailing. An exterior deck that I have in the original view does not show in the new view. I made sure visability and phasing were fine. What could be different between the views when I duplicated it?

Possibly the view range settings for the view....

Did you checked for a Plan Region?

Is it worksetted? A particular workset can be set to be invisible by default, not sure if that comes across when you dupe the view.

The way some people may have resolved some display issues give BIM managers gas I run ito this enough times.

When people use View Graphics correctly these steps work fine to get the floor to display:
Perhaps you can use "Reveal Hidden Elements" at bottom of the Revit session to show all elements. If floors do not show up in the Filter list. Read on down near the bottom at "All else"

Another way is to hover over where the floor should be and use tab key to cycle through the possible components in the view. Or window the area the floor is at and use the filter to see if the floor is part of the selection. If floors do not show up in the Filter list. Read on down near the bottom.

All else; When people use some "creative solutions" this may get teh floor to display:
You might have a view range setting as others have said especially when someone may have wanted to clean up and hide some weird linework in the plan view. For example the Bottom of Primary Range can be offset 4' from the floor level and view depth when the level is the same as the View Depth; Bottom and offset as.... say 1' may have a clean look in plan view.

As a result you cannot see or select the floor component. Set the offsets to 0'-0" to have them display in the plan view.
