Automatic rescaling of symbols and components for different size of sheets.

Yes, all the components rescale when you change the scale of your view but in reference to a sheet 24x36, I setup most of my projects to be printed in a sheet size of 12x18, the text is fine, but the components appear double the size because Revit assumes my sheet is 24x36, I have been creating alot of these symbols to half the size from the originals but sometimes they don't behave the same once rescaled, the best soultion you may think would be to set it up in a sheet 24x36 and when printed send it to 50% the scale of it, but it doesn't update the scale shown in the drawings, which is a problem when you print always on the same size and it's showing the scale twice as big in each floorplan and detail, it makes it more confusing; a note specifying that the scale is half the size is prohibited at my office and I don''t think it would be a difficult task for the Revit developers to make sheets able to recognize what scale factor needs to be shown on that specific view or the other way around, specify into the view properties the scale (as now) and the size of sheet it will be arranged in.

This sounds crazy, but anybody can try it and you will see that the section heads, door numbers, lighting switches, outlets and any self scalable symbol or family are shown double the size.

That's not what happens here...annotation stays the same size (that is defined in the annotation family) regardless of scale or sheet size. The annotion isn't getting larger, the objects in the drawing are getting smaller or larger depending on the scale.

Are you saying that you want an elevation bubble that is intended to be 3/8" dia with text to shrink to 3/16" and smaller text when you use it on a view placed on a smaller sheet?

Can you post a couple screen shots of what you describe?

Steve's right. A 1/2" diameter detail callout will be 1/2" plotted on a 30x42 sheet or a 4"x5" post card. It looks bigger comapred to the geometry, but all annotations reamin the same size no matter what sheet they are on.
