Default Line Segments show correctly in ModelSpace but not in PaperSpace

    Good Morning!

Not sure how to word this question, but here goes! I received a CAD file from and engineering firm and layed out how I want my underground utilities installed. I drew a line segment with a long dash then three dots, then a long dash and on and on. In Model space I can see my line the way I want it to appear, but when I switch to the layout view, the line appears solid. It does not matter how I play with the property setting, the line still appears solid. Any idea on how I can fix this? Hope that I explain this enough for you to understand what it is I need help with. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to AUGI. You're in the wrong forum though. Try posting here: forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120.

(Linetype scale is what you want to change. Also, go into paper space and regen all to see if it shows up properly.)

It's to do with the line type scale, have a look in the help file for the system variables LTSCALE & PSLTSCALE.

Hi there, I'm going to move this thread from the New Users forum to this one, as it will be better served here (both for finding answers, and for providing a reference to future questions on this topic).

One more thing to look for: engineers often set units to decimal so that they can use decimals of a foot, which are not available in architectural units. This means that the engineering files will be 1/12 the architectural dimension. You will have to scale data accordingly to have a meaningful coordination.
