    Default FILTER.dcl

I have recently upgraded from ACAD 2004 to ACAD 2005 with floating profiles over our NT server. Since the upgrade, I cannot use the FILTER command. I get an error message stating: "Can't locate dialog definition file filter.dcl. Check your support directory".

Under options I have mapped to every folder under

    \application data\autodesk\autocad 2005

    as well as

    \local settings\application data\autodesk\autocad 2005.

In addition, I've searched both the install disk and my cpu for Filter.dcl with zero results. I am assuming that the programming for this DCL is nested in one of the other program files. Does anybody know how to fix this issue and/or where the default location for filter.dcl is?

    Hi Rey

Please note I've *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD General Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

    Hi

Filter.dcl should be found in the "Support" directory/folder of the AutoCAD installation.

Have you searched the "C" Drive for Filter.dcl (am assuming you installed AutoCAD on the "C" Drive).

If no luck, try a Repair on the AutoCAD install, if still no luck you might be best just doing a complete uninstall / reinstall.

    Have a good one, Mike
