    Default Protecting Fields

    I know it is not supposed to be possible but I may have found a work around by placing the fields in a block with attributes. This way double clicking the block opens the attributes for editing and ignores the fields.

    My problem is I can get one field (dwg number) to update on a regen using CTAB, however the other field that is supposed to return the job number only returns the attribute default value.

    If someone knows of a solution I am all ears.

    Default Re: Protecting Fields

    Is there a way too extract information from the file name with a Diesel expression?

    for example;
    file name 09199-S01 A

    All I would want to show up in the job number field is "09199"

    If possible I could also have the other relevant fields fill in automatically as well, for example 09199-002 A could automatically fill in the mark number "002" on the drawing.
