Default Some elements cannot change workset

Why is is that there are a few rogue elements in a file that in the element properties dialog have the workset value grayed out? I have a door that is in a wall that is "future" workset but the door is in "new shell".

    What gives?

I have some walls that behave the same way. For no apparent reason their workset cannot be changed thru the element properties dialog box.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Make sure the workset of the element you want to change is set to be "Editable". Or, when you select the object, if it is not editable you will see a small "puzzle piece" icon close to it. Click there and the element will be editable. Now you can change the element's workset.

Well, that was easy enough. Thank you.
