    Default Linetype Generation

    Hi,
In Autocad you can set a linetype generation for your polyline. I know I shouldn't compare the polyline with the linetypes for an object in Revit but are there anyway to "spread out" the dashes evenly along the objects. It is abit hard to explain but please have a look at the attached pictures and how the dashes on the line is on the short side of the objects.

    Thanks

There is no override to make Revit display the lines so the pattern is 'continuous as you show with a polyline.
Revit treats the lines as individual segments and starts the pattern over again.
Because the line pattern is affected by the scale the object is viewed at this only becomes n issue when dealing with short lines at larger scales.
The only workaround I could suggest is to use a different linetype, pattern or override for the shorter lines and define the pattern as a shorter segment.
This is tedious and clunky and it also can only apply to drafted lines or line sin families (as opposed to the cut pattern of a wall element)

    Thanks Dimitri.
I suspected that was the case. I believe though the workaround is a bit to tedious and in this case it is not critical.
    Thanks
