Have you tried setting DIMCEN manually? A value of 1 should be a good starting point.

Type - DIMCEN [enter] 1 [enter]. (sometimes changes made in the style manager do not take)
Then make a new diametral dimension. If you like the result, open dim style manager (ddim) and right-click "<style overrides>" and pick "Save to current style". That will fix the current style only.

BTW, please read the forum notice.

Thumbs up Re: circle and center marks

Found out too, that if style manager in the tab- fine tuning has the "Draw dim line between ext lines" box selected the -1or what ever number is a (-), will not work to give center lines.

I was doing -1 and it just wasnt working, that's why I asked, "How do you do dimcen". But then I opened a brand new file and put a circle went to dimcen, did -1 clicked on the circle and wham, there was my centerline. So I just went tab per tab and from the old file to the new file and that's when I saw the Fine Tuning tab. I have spent 1 week on this. Worth my time though.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I never force lines between extension lines so I didn't know it had that effect (mind you, I never let the dimension create the centre-mark either - I draw true centrelines).

Center marks in circles take way too much time. What I would do is create a block consisting of a circle with a 1 unit diameter (on layer zero, everything 'bylayer'). Then put the center mark inside the circle exactly as you want it on the dim layer. When you want to draw a circle, insert the block, scale to the diameter of the circle you want and explode it. Now you have a circle with perfect center mark every time.
