Is there a way to delete unused solprof generated layers?
SOLPROF generates blocks, the entities inside these blocks are on these layers. So:
- Explode the block / delete it, depending on what you want
- If exploded, change the lines to other layers
- Purge the block definition
- Then delete the layer(s) in Layer Manager, or Purge it.

Sorry, but I've been there and done that and the multiple PH- and PV- layers which have no entities existant will not purge and cannot be deleted using layer manager.
As a last resort use the LAYMRG command:
It used to be an Express Tool, but it's now incorporated into Vanilla 2008. However, be careful, the non-Express version sometimes gives me errors in the DWG.
- Draw a line on each of the layers you want removed. Draw another line on the Layers you actually want.
- Type LAYMRG at the command prompt - this is the same as the Layer Merge choice under Format --> Layer Tools --> Layer Merge (for 200
or Express --> Layers --> Layer Merge (pre 200
- Select the lines on the layer(s) to be merged into the wanted layer.
- Press Enter
- Pick one of the lines on the layer you want this to appear on.
- Answer Yes to the prompts for purging.
- Repeat 2 to 6 for any other layers you want to "move" the SOLPROF layers onto.

That's going to be difficult with no entities.
Search the net for "Superpurge".
