    Talking piers and posts

    did some search on this

but how do you create a pier with an adjustable post...

i tried GMs in a group... but probably not best

epesically if posts are different lengths... but all piers the same.

You should just nest the foundation family into the column family.

This will give you the ability to use the object.
Make sure the family is shared so you can still access the pier options.

You can also create a ref plane that you link the top of the pier to and the bottom of the post to.
But I would like to be able to attach a column to the top of another column (say attach a steel column to the top of a concrete column) in similar to that you can attach a column to a slab.
    Cheers
