Question Self Taught CAD Designer needing some help with blocks

I may be asking a really stupid question here, but I have joined this forum as I am pretty much self taught on AutoCAD and well there is still alot I dont know really!

I am trying to move over to Inventor but still have to use AutoCAD for most of my work given the block modules I have to use.

I design bars/kitchens and in particular the modules I use for the kitchen designs ask me to enter in details of the block - a description, position number, and area - I have started to complete this information properly after ignoring it for ages and doing my own keys, but I have wondered is it possible to take all this data and put it within a table on the model space or a layout page?

I am sorry if this is something well simple just using AutoCAD 2009 Mechanical for layouts is far removed from Autocad 2008 (it is all part of the inventor suite) and im trying to raise the bar on my design work above my competitors who do rather drab drawings...

    I hope someone can help

    Cheers

    Dave

If you are talking about blocks with attributes, then you can use the ._DATAEXTRACTION command.
