I’m currently having issues regarding AutoCAD 2007 and a Nvidia fx570 graphics card.
I recently had my workstation upgraded to a Dell precision T3400 (Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.00GHz, 2 Gig Ram, Nvidia Quadro FX570 Graphics Card, Windows XP).
For a few weeks I noticed a ‘flash’ or flicker on the monitor display when starting an AutoCAD 2007 session (and also sometimes when working with that program). I decided to try updating the driver for the graphics card.
The original driver details (factory set on the Dell PC) were;
Version 6.14.11.6255
(released 04.08.2007)
I downloaded and installed the appropriate driver upgrade from the Nvidia website.
New driver details
Version 6.14.11.6996
(released 26.05.200
That appeared to cure the ‘flash’ problem. But now I get the following error message each time I start an AutoCAD session (or open a drawing):
‘Error - No Nvidia Quadro FX card found. Please remove Performance Drivers using the Control Panel’
This error message has an OK button, which once clicked then allows AutoCAD to start (and run) normally.
I have mentioned the problem to our IT Dept but they seem to be at a loss. They have rolled back the Driver version to:
Version 6.14.11.6939
Released 01.02.2008
But still the ‘error’ notification problem persists.
This is not a major problem but is becoming very annoying. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.
Thanks
