Question Text size does not change when Blocks is redefined

I want to redefine a block I've created so it comes in smaller. When I say yes to overwrite previous block the redefined linework is coming in fine (scaled down) but the text remains big (as previously defined). I must have the redefined text size within the block scaled as well.
Using AutoCAD 2004 with Land Desktop Development 2004.

Please respond soon as time is running short.

I am assuming the text are attributes. If so, you can use the BATTMAN command to modify the text height.

check the text size at the text's style... change it to 1

More likely - change it to zero.

I tried changing the style height in both the block and the target drawing from .2 to 0
    didn't work.

I tried changing the style height in both the block and the target drawing from .2 to 1
    didn't work.

The attribute text insists on appearing as 3.99 high when I expect it to be 2.5
The target drawing does have proxy graphics in it. Would that make a difference?

    Any other ideas out there?

have you tried using BATTMAN selecting the block and using sync to update the visual on the attributes?

Sorry, In this case no can do, there is too much proprietary information on it. No, I haven't used BATTMAN much I will try that next time and report back. This morning the requestor changed his mind and the attribute text concerned is going back to the way it was originally. Will do more research on BATTMAN though, thanks.

When I redefine a block with attributes I use attredef. Insert the block, draw a line from insert point, explode, edit block and text to what size you want, applied attredef command, select attribute in same order as they were before, select all other entities, enter, enter same block name and then pick the intsertion point. This should redefine everthing to the way you want it. good luck
