    Default Installation without Revit DVD

The company I work for installs Revit using a company-wide installation program. The DVD never actually makes it's way around, just an automated file and then we link to the license server and continue on.

Is there a way for me to install API without the installation disc?

I think you can download the API from:

    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...112&id=2484975

It probably does not include VSTA, though.

    Been there, done that.

That's where I got the idea of asking the question.

You should be able to see why in the image below. I've shown the contents of the package on the left, and the file showing how to install Revit VSTA on the right.

I can't download the download kit because I'd be "spoken to" about using massive amounts of Internet.

    Any ideas people?

There was a previous thread on this - not sure if it applies in your case, but

"From within the Revit folder there is a folder called download mine is
    here:
    C:\Program Files\Revit Architecture 2008\Download\Utilities\Common\Software
    Development Kit"

I've no idea how to link to an old thread so thank Bill Debevc if it works

Nope. Nothing there. I'm running Revit MEP.

I have it set up where I can now use the addon menu, but it looks like I'm going to be using a program called SharpDevelop to do my coding in.
