    Default Interference Detection 09

Has anyone played with the interference detection functionality in 09? In 08 you could run CLASHREPORT and schedule any clashes. I found that when I enter CLASHREPORT I get a warning that that command is no longer supported. Is there a way to schedule intereferences now? I can tag the interefernces in the Interference Detction command and make them stay after thecommand is closed. That means that you should be able to schedule them. I couldn't find a "interefrence Schedule" tool in my content browser though.

    OK, I figured it out.
    Run the interference check>
Change "Keep interference Mass elements when ending analysis mode to "YES">
Select all interefernces (or just the ones desired) on the palette>
Click tag on the tool bar (not the palette)>
    End interference check>
Use the MEP Interference Schedule tool. You can create the tool by drag and dropping from the style manager to the palette.
    Nifty!

    Lewerim,

I've tried and failed soooo miserably I've done the clashreport in 2008 and then jumped back to 2009. Not perfect, but everytime I try and get the interference detection into a table that I can export it just comes out with question marks.

In your last post, what do you mean with the "I can tag the interefernces in the Interference Detction command and make them stay after thecommand is closed. That means that you should be able to schedule them. I couldn't find a "interefrence Schedule" tool in my content browser though." Do you have to tag everything? Cos I can tag it and the tag comes into the drawing etc, but again even with these on the table doesn't come up with info.

Think I'm missing something. (except for the plot!!!)

NavisWorks sure makes this a lot easier to do.. I need to check out the actual report itself though.. Last one we ran interference checks on things like sheet metal vs piping, sheet metal vs plumbing, sheet metal vs electrical, sheet metal vs fire, piping vs fire, piping vs plumbing, and one or two more I think. Navis had them all laid out with zoomed in pictures in seconds.. Then you can turn everything else in the background to a greyscale and it's darn sexy..
Give a man AutoCad, and he'll draw you a floor plan.
Give a man Revit and he'll build you a house.
Give Cadmama a couple of drinks and she'll have everyone singing Rockytop!
