Talking reloading images that are updated

have a PDF file with a form on it that is saved as an image

then that image is inported into a Revit sheet...

however, when the PDF file is updated (using the "typewriter" feature)
then saved overwriting the last image the new image is not apparently reloaded into revit updating the one already there...instead have to erase the original and just import another one

in the raster image ddl no button to reload...

is there a another way to "link" images...

    much apprecialte... ray

    Ray,

Unfortunately you can't link an image. Once imported, images are part of the Revit file. That said, if you want to update it, you have to remove and insert the new one...

It has been a while since I was in Autocad, but can you link a picture into a DWG and then link the DWG into Revit? Does Autocad require a manually-automatic update of the Image?

Yep, you can use CAD to create a dynamic link... For example, use the old OLE trick and Link the CAD file to our Revit file. Seems to be a popular subject, same process as was discussed re:word docs HERE just the other day, with good isntructions included...
