Default Revit/RAM error - Start Level/End Level Offset - Parameter is Read Only.

I asked over at Adesk, but also wanted to ask you experts here...

I have an engineer that is using RAM as the analysis program for his project. It's a painful learning process, but it seems he's almost there! Currently, he's getting a 1 1/2 pages of errors and we'd like to know if any of you have any suggestions in getting them cleaned up.

Though it looks like the import from RAM is working and "refreshing model," none of the beam sizes have updated.

This "Start Level Offset" and "End Level Offset"... RAM is telling us that the Parameter is Read Only. Is there a way to override this so that RAM can update the Revit Model?

Make sure your elements aren't pinned. That will prevent the start and end level offsets from being edited.

I have seen that error message before in our workings with Ram, and it seems that ram wanted up update the start and end offsets for beams that are part of a beam system. Which are pinned. In our experience it was just an error message that we ignored, as the beams sizes still got updated.

I have a feeling that it has something to do with coordinate or elevation rounding between Revit and Ram, and that ram is trying to move the beam a very small amount, but can't because it's part of a beam system. Only a guess.

My first thought was beams in Beam Systems...they are defined by the beam system and the external app may not be able to "fix" those because they a "pinned" by the system.
