    Default Opening Partially Cuts Host?

I'm working on a concrete framing project and I'm using "Opening By Face" to cut openings into beams around elevator/mep/stair shafts. At first this wasn't much of an issue when the model was much smaller but now I'm getting concerned about the warnings that are piling up with each opening I create.
    Here's my questions:

    1. Is this the best way to accomplish this? It is a standard pan joist layout and we're using all standard pan sizes (66", 53", 43", etc.) So invariably we'll need to have beams that don't line up with the opening. I'm attaching a screen shot of an example.

    2. If it is how do I keep from generating another error with each new opening? What causes this to pop up anyway? I mean, doesn't every opening partially cut the host (beam)?

    3. What is "too many" errors? Maybe I'm worried about nothing. I think my current count is around 250.

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

I've run into this on a recent project. Yes I think opening by face is the best way to put notches/ledges concrete (or steel for that matter) beams. From what I can tell yes the warning "Opening Partially Cuts Host" means that only part of the host is being cut. It does seem like a strange warning. To give you confidence I've used this method on a project in the past with no ill results. Just be careful copying framing from one level to the next to make sure you select your openings along with your hosts.
