Our office has set up a standard export settings file (ExportLayersTemplate.txt) to use for exporting to our inhouse and out of house engineers for backgrounds. It is stored in a central library location so all can access it.
One issue we have is that the template rewrites itself anytime anyone uses it and it brings in linked or previously linked Cad files. So we end up having an export template with all of these cad files and thier layers even though those cad files are no linger linked to the Revit Model.
Is there way to purge out the linked files so the cad layers do not show up in the export settings?
Can we lock the export settings so it does not overwrite itself, or should we create a template per project and store it with the project so only project specific items get added?
Anyone else have these issues? Any suggestions?
Tim
