Revit permits only rectangular or square opening cuts, but diff. shape openings can be made using window family as I used some shapes attached here. Is there any other method to create them ?

In the project? You can edit the profile of your wall (if the wall is straight) or use a wall based family with a void or opening cutting the wall.

Ya
One can edit profile of a wall, but when one need series of openings, a opening family will be more convenient.
