CADSTORM, you are the "King of the Lab" fixed my problem right away. Thanks for being there, man!
To solve this problem you can follow this simple steps:
1. On the command line area, right-click and select "Options".
2. Select "Profile" tab and there select <<ACAD>> profile and select it current profile "Set Current".
3. Slect Ok and Close.
Your Ribbon shoud to be back on screen.

Neither Cadstorm's nor Robert Bell's solution fixed the problem for me. I'm trying to fix a LDT Companion 2009 installation that lost its panels and tabs when I loaded a partial menu. I sure wish I knew why this happens.

Type "menu" in the comand bar.
Select the "Support" folder right of Look in:
Select one of the ".cuix" files
Note if it is a ".bak.cuix" it may not work.
Then click open.
This worked for me hope it works for you.
Thanks RobertB! Frustrating when things disappear randomly. That was a quick and easy fix!
