Default Importing Microstation into Revit MEP 09

    Hey All,
I've got a client who has all of their architectural backgrounds in Microstation and we are currently using Revit MEP 2009. I know that Revit can Import DGN's, but I get this error when trying to Import the DGN " IT IS NOT A MICROSTATION v7 DESIGN FILE. MICROSTATION v8 FILES CAN'T BE IMPORTED. PLEASE EXPORT TO DWG IN MICROSTATION AND RE-IMPORT. ". I have no expeirence working with DGN's except bringing them into AutoCAD, and that was only once... but is the V7 and V8 just the versions of Microstations or is it something more?

Has anyone had success with bringing in a DGN file into revit? What were some of the problems have you seen when working in Revit with a DGN link?

    Any input would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Kirk

V7 and V8 are just the versions. Have your client save as to V7 and you should be good to go.
