Partial CUI Drop Down Menu Issues

All,

I am having some issues here when editting an existing partial CUI in AutoCAD 2008. Now I have edited this partial CUI before, added tools to it and everything. The problem comes when I try and add a new menu to this partial CUI.

As soon as I add a new menu, name it, place a random tool under it, and exit the CUI editor, all hell breaks loose. I lose all the custimizations to my profile and everything reverts back to the default AutoCAD Classic workspace. After all this defaulting happens the drop down menu I created may or may not be displayed. Sometimes it will but after a restart of AutoCAD this menu is gone each and every time, despite still being displayed in the partial CUI.

At this point I am at a loss. I can not understand why any other editting of the partial CUI works fine but adding a new menu causes all these problems.

You need to use workspaces to manage the UI. Create a new workspace in the CUI editor that will display all the elements you desire in the order you wish. Make that workspace active to see your desired interface.
