Default Chspace with annotation scaled text - bummer

Anyone tried using CHSPACE on annotative text? I am not getting the results I expect. I get two different sizes when I compare them.

Is chspace really needed with annotative text? One draws the text at the plotted height.

I got someone that wants to do it. They are checking on other peoples drawing as to what size things are.
I will just tell them that if they are doing chspace and it blows up it is because the text is annotative. They can then check the style settings.

It is just a weird thing to have happen. I would think it could be changed but oh well!

Seems to be working here. What version of AutoCAD are you using? Or lastly why not select the objects that are in model space and then list the properties of those annotative scaled objects and check to see what the Paper text height is equal to?

    Using 2009.
This customer of mine just wanted to move all text to the layout for one drawing.
I guess if you select all text and take annotation off it should work.
